Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is pleased to announce that Copenhagen Infrastructure II (CI II) has sold 100% of its equity interest in Bearkat I, a 196 MW US onshore wind asset located in Texas for an undisclosed amount.
Bearkat I has been sold to Terna DEN, a wholly owned subsidiary of Terna Energy, which is also the company where CI II has provided mezzanine financing for the two existing onshore wind farms Fluvanna and Gopher Creek. As part of the transaction CI II will finance USD 63m of the purchase price by entering into a mezzanine loan with Terna DEN.
